Spiral Staircase to Observatory
-
This project presented real challenges in planning, layout and execution. Custom millwork was again necessary. The spiral stair with curved ballustrade leads to a circular observatory (ceiling was unfinished when photographed). The Beauty of Wood
-
Leif works in both paint- and stain-grade. Some jobs require an even higher level of finish and for those Leif may even mill the trim himself. Such was the case for this library in a private residence in Knox County. Quartersawn oak trim is not easily obtainable. Leif used a special supplier and his own shop to produce the trim for this beautiful room - from wainscoting, to coffered ceiling, to window seat, to custom entertainment center and shelving.Classical Columns
-
These classical columns, designed and built by Leif, add dignified elegance to the music room and entry hall of a private residence in Knox county. Note the ceiling work and custom wainscoting as well.
